All of our doctors are members of the American Veterinary Medical Association and are members of various other professional organizations.  

Hospital Owner
Dr. Mike Diliberto is a 1995 graduate of Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Diliberto is a past President of The Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine, the regional continuing education organization for Veterinarians. He studied TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine) at the Chi Institute in 2011. His hobbies include family camping, golf, discovering new wines, and watching all sports. (Especially the Sabres, Bills, and New York Yankees!)

Dr. Aubri Matroniano is a 2007 graduate of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Having completed her undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo, she was eager to begin her veterinary career back in Western, NY. She became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2013 and has been excited to bring a more integrated approach to treating pain and healing injuries. She has a special interest in increasing the quality of life in our arthritic geriatric patients through pain control, increasing strength and mobility. Her and her husband share their home with their twin son and daughter, a rambunctious Wheaten Terrier, Braden and an inquisitive cat, Lyssa.
Dr. Mary Driess started her career at Pinewoods in 2001 as a veterinary assistant. In 2004 she graduated Medaille College and became a veterinary technician. Her passion for animals and veterinary medicine led her to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2012. She has a special interest in veterinary oncology. In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with her rescued rottweiler mix named McKenzie.
Dr. Katie Morris grew up in Tonawanda, NY and obtained her bachelors degree from The University at Buffalo in 2005. In 2011, she graduated with highest honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Katie completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University and then accepted a position in Cleveland, Ohio where she spent 4 years as an associate and emergency care veterinarian. Dr. Katie grew up with a love for animals and devotion to their welfare. She was employed as a veterinary assistant during her undergraduate studies and then worked as a humane educator and off-site adoptions associate for the SPCA before leaving for veterinary school. Dr. Katie is passionate about providing client education and optimal medical care for pet’s to achieve a superior quantity and quality of life. She has special interest in feline medicine, dental health, senior wellness and emergency care.  

Dr. Shileyn Rego received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Cornell Universitry in 2008. She continued at Cornell completing her DVM degree at the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation, she moved to the Buffalo area. Dr. Shileyn joined Pine Woods Animal Hospital in March 2016. She has three cats name "Nibbler", "Lily" and "Luna" and a terrier mix named "Grady". Dr. Rego sees dogs and cats and has a special interest in preventative care and feline medicine.

Dr. Nicole Abramo
Dr. Nicole Abramo grew up in Hamburg, NY.  She graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a bachelors degree in Biology in 1997.  She worked with the Caribbean Conservation Corporation in Tortuguero, Costa Rica doing green sea turtle research in 1998.  Dr. Abramo is a 2003 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State University.  She volunteers with World Vets, which provides veterinary care to under developed countries, including Honduras, Columbia, Ecuador and Nicaragua.  She became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture at the Chi Institute in 2012.  After living in Hawaii for two years, she is excited to be back in the Buffalo area.
